With 180 volunteers, we are now at capacity for volunteer marshals that guide patients to and from their Covid-19 Vaccination at Fordingbridge Hospital.

Some of these volunteers have even been so kind as to provide battery powered lighting to help light the pathway from the main car park to the Fordingbridge Hospital site, donate wheelchairs, portable fan heaters, hi-viz vests and lanyards.

Euro Car Parts have provided 60 hi-viz vests free of charge for our Avon Valley PCN's Volunteer Marshals to use at the vaccination centre. Euro Car Parts, who are partnered with the AA to support our patrols across the country, were honoured to support the personal and local efforts for the mass vaccination programme.

Andrew Carr, one of the Volunteer Marshals, who also works for The AA in IT Operations, not only paid for lanyards for the volunteers from his own pocket but also arranged for the supply of these hi-viz vests. Thank you, Andy.

One volunteer, Liam Watson spent days building an online booking form for fellow volunteers to click on the shifts they are available for. The clever system sends a confirmation message to inform the volunteer that they are booked on a shift and tells them that registration is closed if the shift is full.

Fordingbridge Museum donated 30 x branded lanyards.

Alan from New Forest litter pickers loaned 10 x Hi-vis Volunteer Waistcoats and Martine Coatham arranged for a box of hi-vis vests to be delivered from the town council.

The Friends of Fordingbridge Surgery also paid £3000 for the heating system in the marquee.

The 4 local GP practices that form Avon Valley PCN would like to thank the community for their kindness, patience, consideration and support.
