The Government will be issuing new guidance for people who are clinically extremely vulnerable and will be writing to people on the Shielded Patient List (SPL) explaining the new advice.

Whilst we have tried to reduce the need for patients to attend the surgery, there are some circumstances for which you may need to come in for a procedure or appointment. We have developed a new protocol to protect shielded/high risk patients and you will be informed of this at the time of the appointment booking. We are aiming to minimise contact with other patients and staff and will protect you as much as possible.'

Please note, due to dealing with the impact of Covid-19, we are currently only booking nurse appointments one week in advance.

BBC Radio Solent  interview with Toby Wallis regarding the drive-through clinic

Drive Through Clinic

Dashboard footage of a patient using our new drive through service for our most vulnerable, shielded patients.
Thank you to Bev and Lucy Pearson for sending us this amazing clip.

Fordingbridge Surgery have a marquee for the use of our most  vulnerable, shielded patients to have essential blood tests, injections, vaccinations and some wound care administered by our clinicians. Barriers have been put up and cones have partitioned off the area so that our shielded patients can pull up and follow the direction of patient flow safely following the guidance of our team.

Please note - you will only hear the results of your blood test if there is an abnormality detected.
